Nadia Roumani

Senior Designer, d.school Professional Education & Lead on Social Sector Collaborations

Designing programs and experiences that help social impact leaders tackle complex challenges and achieve greater impact, and creating tools that bring strategy and design within reach.

Nadia Roumani is a Senior Designer at the Stanford d.school, where she co-founded the Designing for Social Systems (DSS) program. She spends her days helping social impact leaders—from nonprofit innovators to government changemakers—use human-centered design, systems thinking, and strategy to create change that actually sticks.

She’s also building new tools for the field—like Scopey, an AI-powered “scoping assistant” developed with the d.school—to make design and strategy easier and more accessible.

At the heart of all her work is a belief that when people have the space to align, ask better questions, and try out new ideas together, they can unlock solutions that transform both organizations and communities.

Outside Stanford, Nadia runs a consulting practice supporting philanthropists, foundations, and nonprofits as they navigate big questions about giving, program design, and community impact. She has designed and facilitated hundreds of workshops and convenings, always aiming to bring clarity, creativity, and alignment to complex challenges.
