Currently, we offer classes to enrolled Stanford undergraduate and graduate students. If you’re interested in taking d.school classes, you can apply to any degree program at Stanford and augment your experience with d.school courses. In addition to electives, we offer undergraduate and graduate degrees, and we run workshops for executives throughout the year.
The public tours are one hour long and are hosted by d.school students and alums who are excited to share their experiences. If you can’t make it to a current scheduled tour, you're welcome to come by and see our space on your own! Our doors are open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, and we have materials to guide your exploration. Or check back next quarter, as our tours are scheduled quarter-by-quarter.
The d.school now awards undergraduate and graduate design degrees! At this time, we do not offer doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees but enrolled Stanford students are always welcome to apply to any of our elective d.school classes.
Exchange programs would need to be set up through one of Stanford’s seven schools – Business, Medicine, Education, Law, Engineering, Humanities & Sciences, or Earth Sciences.

The d.school as a whole cannot enter into a continuing partnership at this time. Actually, the d.school doesn't tend to have formal partnerships with external organizations – that's one consequence of being a small group focused on teaching. We just don't have the personnel to support consulting or long-term partnership. If you are an organization that would like to participate, visit Affiliate Memberships.
Though the materials are not copyrighted per se, we tend to follow the general principles of the Creative Commons licensing, which is as follows: these materials are for non-commercial share-alike use, which means that you're not charging to facilitate workshops based solely on d.school materials, that you share the materials with others, and that you attribute the d.school for the materials.
Feel free to translate our resources and remix them to match your needs. Submit your translated resources to our info email to be posted on our resources page for others to access.
We do not offer summer programs for high school students. You can find reading materials and activities through the book guides and free tools offered on this website.
