Accessibility, Neurodiversity, and Immersive Experience Design
This course will invite students to consider how accessibility and neurodiversity can facilitate novel thinking and innovation in the space of immersive experience design. Working from a social model of disability, students will gain experience designing immersive experiences that treat accessibility as an anchoring principle. They will wrestle collaboratively with complex social and aesthetic ideas and co-create work for real audiences. This course is a hybrid studio/seminar and will include both discussion and making.
