The d.school Community Print Shop Team is looking for an independent, creatively-minded print enthusiast to help us run Open Shop Hours and develop shop infrastructure. This is a paid opportunity for '26 Winter and Spring quarter. Prior printing experience preferred, former students of Community Printshop Studio and Print on Purpose are encouraged to apply. 8-10 hours per week — preferred work times are Thurs. 9:30am-1:30pm and Sun. 2pm-6pm.
Duties
- Work with and without the printshop manager to oversee Open Shop Hours in two 4-hour sessions per week
- Train students on letterpress and Risograph printing
- Guide students through project scoping and production
- Produce printed materials to aid in learning at the printshop
- Tidy and maintain printshop
- Ensure student compliance in best printmaking practices and safety procedures
