Victor Saad

Director, Design Formation

Entrepreneur, coach, and talent leader focused on helping people through transitions.

In 2012, I designed my own Masters by completing 12 projects in 12 months and called it The Leap Year Project. My experiences culminated with staging my graduation at a local TEDx and publishing a book of community stories focused on the power of learning through risk. Following that year, a group of talented leaders and I worked together to launch Experience Institute, an organization helping college students and career professionals learn and grow through projects and experiences focused the most important skills for life and work.

In 2015, I was inducted into Forbes 30 Under 30 in the field of education. I then joined the team here at the d.school to focus on building the bridge from the the design classroom to the broader world of Design. What started as "Design Summer" has now become Design Formation, a core course helping students build their portfolios, rethink their summer experience, and connect with design teams around the world for real-world Design projects.

Outside of Stanford, I’m the Chairman of the Board at Experience Institute, and Chief Talent Officer at NextGen Growth Partners—helping founders and CEOs grow and transition their businesses by partnering with our Entrepreneurs in Residence.
