I make things and make things work.

In addition to being the d.school's creative director, Scott Doorley is a writer, designer, and teacher. He has overseen everything from books to workspaces to digital products and initiatives focused on the future of learning & design. He has co-written two books: Assembling Tomorrow: A Guide to Designing a Thriving Future from the Stanford d.school (2024) and Make Space: How to Set the Stage for Creative Collaboration (2011). His classes focus on communication design in both emerging and traditional mediums. Scott's art & design work has been featured in museums from San Jose to Helsinki and in publications such as Architecture + Urbanism & The New York Times, and he speaks worldwide about design, culture, change, communication, and leadership.
