At the heart of my work, I try to make the university experience a bit easier to navigate and a lot more diverse.
For the last few years I’ve led programs that facilitate resources, build skills, and empower first-generation and non-traditional transfer students to become leaders in the California Community Colleges and the UC system. I also produce cultural events for In Dialogue - a container I created for people to gather, witness and engage in meaningful dialogue about arts and culture in the Bay Area.
What excites me most about being at the d.school is the opportunity to work where imagination and collaboration meet. I love helping people bring their ideas to life. You can expect that I’ll always be searching for context or passing along information that I’ve learned. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, hot yoga, and visiting family in San Diego. A perfect day for me includes a nap under the sun at Lake Merritt and tacos for dinner. I’m also on a mission to read 20 books this year—recommendations welcome!
