Lupe Makasyuk

Program Manager

Lupe expertly tailors the UIF program’s events and experiences to inspire and delight the students and faculty in our community. Originally from Mexico City, Lupe received Bachelor degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Latin American Studies at UC Santa Barbara and a degree in Anthropology from Mexico City’s UNAM. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Counseling Psychology (Wellness) at Santa Clara University. Before coming to Stanford she worked as an archaeologist in Mesoamerica. She has held several administrative leadership positions over her 10 years at Stanford working at various departments such as Stanford Libraries, SLAC, Office of Graduate Education at the School of Medicine and VPSA-Schwab Learning Center. She has received SLAC’s GLOBI award and was one of the top finalists for the Amy J. Blue award. She is passionate about student services, volunteer work and community involvement.
