Isabel Huff leads EdTech Remix, a community of practice that equips K12 edtech (educational technology) designers with the tools, mindsets, and connections they need to create more equitable products. She facilitates collaborations within the 400+ strong community of edtech stakeholders, including hosting both in-person and remote gatherings. Isabel is currently working with members of the community to develop an “EdTech Equity Index.” This resource for designers will spotlight edtech products that excel in various aspects of equity and detail the design processes that contributed to their success.
Isabel’s collaborative spirit extends beyond EdTech Remix – she has managed d.school activations at SXSW that have reached thousands of educators. Isabel was a contributor to the emerging tech magazine, Rep. A connector of people and ideas, Isabel loves creating unexpected collisions between folks and resources who just might change the world together – she’s probably already thinking about how to connect YOU with someone amazing!
When she’s not Google-ing everything under the sun or organizing all the things, you might find Isabel making music in a handbell choir, crafting hand-built raku pottery, or wandering the Arizona desert in search of inspiration.
