What will I learn?

Overview

What role does design play in imagining and creating the horizons of tomorrow? Sometimes the most rewarding destinations still lack maps.

“View from the Future” is a new d.school 1-unit Spring speaker series that exposes students to the design opportunities of tomorrow, today.

Together we will explore: How is design influencing the world? What are the ways that design is shaping the careers, opportunities and fields of the future? What are the jobs shaping those roles, and what types of skills and experience qualify you to be successful in those jobs?

Each week we’ll bring in leaders from organizations, initiatives, and programs that embody how design is changing the world, and the emerging opportunities that exist for our students.

From the future of Climate Tech and the Blue Ocean Economy,  to the Future of Media and Fashion, to the Future of Space, Global Development and Supply Chain Transformation, and even the Future of the Future, our guests will illuminate where these fields are going and how design careers are evolving in those futures
