We believe design should be accessible to all. Since our founding we've been innovating design education so that more people can create more new possibilities. And so we were curious . . .
Can we get design into the hands of more people? And what happens when we do?
We help Stanford students, and leaders & learners everywhere, create new possibilities so they can leave the world better than they found it.
“To me, design is a way to bring people together to make the world better. … Better for who, for which groups? That all gets defined by those being a part of the process, and that to me is why it’s so important to bring people together. And why the design field has to evolve in terms of demographics as well. … I think that’s the way people typically define it. How it’s practiced is what I seek to change.”
We teach how to design for the complexities of systems and for stakeholders beyond the classroom. Our learning experiences engage students in real-world projects.
