What TLS alumni have to say
Several alumni of our first virtual Teaching and Learning Studio workshop shared their thoughts with us.
I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this experience. I can't thank you enough for the amount of work, dedication and love that you have put into this course. I enjoyed being surprised each day by the activities and challenges - they were all engaging, deep and exhilarating.
- Maya Greenshpan, Franklin & Marshall College
Through your effective use of activities and technologies, I felt more a part of this community than I usually feel at face-to-face conferences. The elements of fun, surprise and gratitude were essential elements of this effect….It was helpful for me that I attended with colleagues from my institution. We were able to connect after sessions to digest information, discuss how we can apply ideas to our work, etc. The elements of fun, surprise and gratitude created a sense of community for me that made it a meaningful learning environment. I also got many ideas of virtual training that I plan to replicate (with credit, of course) in some of my upcoming training.
- Margaret Shippey, Miami Dade College
I particularly appreciated the inclusive community built throughout the program, the creative teaching team, the rich resources shared and the amazing "guests" brought into the sessions, the incredible TLS alumni and students who contributed to the activities.
