The Masters of Creativity: Education Edition
Innovation in schools has long been tied to technology. Now that everyone is becoming more equipped to teach in a digital world, what is the role of innovation in education now? The time has come to redefine "Head of Innovation.”
In this series, we'll be exploring how innovation leaders in schools can be effective creative practitioners themselves and spark the creative courage of their students and educators within their communities to make equitable changes. We will explore topics to support educators in innovation roles to build vibrant and creativity communities full of discovery, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Design for Community Problem Solving Application due 9/1
Every school has something they know needs to improve, but that they can’t seem to advance. No matter how much they try it remains a persistent, intractable problem. In Design for Community Problem Solving, educators will collaborate to identify an intractable school-based challenge related to four key areas: civic engagement, belonging, assessment, culturally responsive teaching. Then, by examining their own data and looking through the lenses of design, equity, and community development, they will find bright spots in their school—homegrown solutions—that they can amplify and scale. Visualize the Future 9/30
How might we see, shape, and share the future of our learning communities? In a world filled with more unknowns than knowns, how do we help our students to not just be “prepared” but to be capable of envisioning and building the futures they want to bring to life? We invite you to join the K12 Lab and our collaborators in Ulster BOCES, New York as we embark on a learning journey to help leaders reflect on this past year, develop strategies for visualizing bold futures with and for their communities, and create a series of opportunities aimed at supporting communities in seeing, shaping, and sharing the future of learning. Registration is free.
