Overview
Do you vote for the U.S. President based on party? On policy? On personality? If you could compose the perfect president, what experience, values, and qualities would top your priority list and why? Welcome to Designing the President!
Why Design?
Design is a practice that can help us be more thoughtful and deliberative voters and agents of change.
We use design to create clarity around values and purpose, and to ignite our personal agency and collective possibility.
As the 2020 U.S. Presidential election unfolds to be one of the most expensive and divisive in history, we can use design to think deeply about the kind of leader who would best serve our country and our future.
What is Designing the President?
Designing the President is a set of engaging, non-partisan, policy-agnostic tools that can be used individually or by groups, organizations and teachers in classrooms. These tools can help us clarify the experience, values, and personal qualities that we desire in a president--and why that matters for all of us.
Don’t let the election happen to you.
