In the workshop, participants will:

• Explore two case studies.

• Learn a framework to apply to your own project journey.

• And, receive a workbook with tools that’s an interactive intro to the newly released book, Substantial Classrooms, Redesigning Substitute Teaching Experience by Jill Vialet and Amanda Von Moos.

Presenters

Jill Vialet and Amanda von Moos are the co-founders of Substantial, a national nonprofit working to unlock the potential of substitute teaching. Substantial emerged from Jill’s work as a d.school Fellow and has been a case study for Designing for Social Systems (DSS). Jill is also the founder of Playworks and MOCHA.

Marquis Taylor is the founder of Coaching4Change, a nonprofit on a mission to mobilize college students to inspire the next generation in schools. Marquis is a Echoing Green Fellow and a Pahara Institute NextGen Fellow.
