Audience: Public

Every Tuesday, Open for Drop-In's from 2:30 to 4pm, d.school Bay Studio (second floor)

Hoping to launch a new start-up venture? Got a "killer idea" that you've been toying with for the last few months, and want to see whether you have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur? Then drop by LaunchPad's Product/Market Fit Assessment Lab at the d.school!

This is not a class. You aren't required to launch by showing up. Grad students and undergrads are welcome. PhD's. You don't even have to be a student! It's a drop-in opportunity for potential founders to quickly determine whether they have an idea worth pursuing further.

We run an accelerator course in the spring quarter called LaunchPad. The accelerator has run as a class for the last seven years, and over 50% of the founders / companies launched are still in operation today!

The professors of this class, Perry Klebahn and Jeremy Utley, host the drop-in Product/Market Fit Assessment Lab every week to help early founders navigate early obstacles and answer questions without the burden of a class, grades, or any greater commitment beyond a quick conversation.

Some noteworthy alums of the class include:

For engineers: Fellow BrewingStower

For CS: Focal SystemsDeepLookBoom Fantasy, Pulse News (Acquired by LinkedIn)
