What is this?

Overview

Two types of faculty come together at the d.school: academic faculty from all seven schools at Stanford, and adjunct faculty who are experts in design or the particular problem space that is the focus of a class. Together, they collaborate to design and teach exceptional classes that help students build their creative abilities and tackle real-world challenges.

Below, we've highlighted some research or teaching projects led by or involving Stanford academic faculty.

You can find all currently active adjunct faculty here.

Faculty Projects

Stanford academic faculty engage at the d.school in many ways, drawing on design methods to innovate in their research or service work, and stimulate their creativity in how they approach the design of classes in their home department.

Jeremy Weinstein experiments with classes at the d.school to answer questions at the edges of his field — and find new ones.
