What is this?

Overview

Although millions of people spend a good percentage of workdays in meetings, very few of them are designed well.  Too often, meetings are information downloads lacking real human engagement and they do not necessarily help us get closer to our desired outcome. They simply keep us busy.

However, with some intentionality, you can design more engaging, human-centered, and effective meetings by applying a few key design principles.  You can use the Redesign a Meeting worksheet to make your next meeting clear, productive, and engaging to bring your team together and move your project forward.

To get a fuller understanding of the principles behind the worksheet and to help you facilitate a great meeting, read the article.

Have fun designing your next meeting! We’d be happy to hear how it went at dss@dschool.stanford.edu.
