By: K12 Lab Network
The K12 Lab is hiring! We like to think that our lab is a catalyst for creative confidence in K-12 education. Through workshops, fellowships, and sharing open source tools, we teach using immersive real-world projects where creative problem-solving matters most. We are looking to bring on three exceptional individuals to help us advance equity and improve elementary and secondary education. We are seeking someone who is eager to design new ways of spreading promising ideas to more educators, someone who is ready to reimagine student safety, and someone who is passionate about emerging technology and the future of learning.
We are hiring people for these three positions:
The Diffusion Designer is charged with designing new ways to help promising ideas, information, and program models spread. This role is built on the premise that while there has been some attention placed on designing new offerings for educators, there has been less attention placed on figuring out how to share those new offerings in ways that work well for educators and can reach many. This is a full time position at Stanford with salary and benefits, starting in mid-September.
Education Futurist Fellow
This fellow will design, prototype, and test new ways of creating equitable access to emerging technologies and prepare students for the world they will inherit. We are seeking individuals who have extensive experience implementing emerging technology within K-12 education classrooms. The fellowship will run for three-months starting by mid-September and concluding in December. The fellow will be a full-time employee of Stanford for the duration of the fellowship.
Reimagining Student Safety Fellow
This fellow will design, prototype, test, and share new approaches for helping students and teachers feel safe. We are seeking individuals who have experience in understanding student safety issues. The fellowship will run for nine months starting by mid-September. The fellow will be a full-time employee of Stanford for the duration of the fellowship.
Applications are due July 15, 2019.
