We're in the midst of expanding our creative community to include more imaginative makers -- from illustrators to videographers, to copywriters, to data visualization designers-- that will have an opportunity to shape our communications and elevate our craft. We’re seeking talented freelancers that are experienced in bringing concepts and qualitative impact to life and move people to action through their work. Prior knowledge of the design world or education is a plus but not required.

As a freelance creative, you will be part of the Stanford d.school creative network (aka Craft Circle). According to your medium, we will provide d.school brand training and support as needed. People who are part of the d.school Craft Circle will be paid for an initial meeting to get up to speed on the d.school brand. After that, you'll get connected with our program teams to work on freelance projects as they arise and your schedule fits.

Examples of past projects include: embedding in one of our immersive workshops to create on online article, creating a short video series about navigating ambiguity, and digging through data and designing info-graphics for a year end recap, and illustrating posters for our 8 core design abilities.

The Stanford d.school is a vibrant collection of people from all walks of life. Our ideal candidates are familiar with working with people across demographics and are experienced in illuminating different perspectives with authenticity, inclusivity, and accessibility in front of mind.
