The d.school is excited to hold our second Designing for Social Systems workshop in June 2018. DSS is an intensive workshop for leaders and practitioners in nonprofit, philanthropy, government, and social impact fields to advance the way they work.
Participants will learn the tools and approaches of design thinking and how to apply them to multi-stakeholder projects in the social sector. Particular to this program, we integrate the basics of systems thinking with design thinking to increase impact in the complex work of social change. We aim to empower leaders to be more creative, insightful, collaborative, and strategic.
Workshop participants will learn design thinking by tackling a real-world challenge in partnership with a nonprofit organization, and also develop a plan for how to apply these practices to their own work when they return home.
