Hello Bootcampers!

We’re thrilled to have you participate in July Bootcamp. This page contains all the steps and resources you need to prepare for Bootcamp (scroll down). If we missed something, don’t hesitate to email us at exec_ed@dschool.stanford.edu.

Please note that the last day to book a hotel room from our block of reserved rooms at the Sheraton is Monday, June 19th. So, please book soon! Accommodations are going fast... See link below.

Q: Where is the program hosted?

A: Most of the program is hosted at the d.school which is located at 550 Panama Mall in building 550, Peterson Laboratory (next to the Quad / Memorial Church).

Q: Is there parking near the d.school?

A: In general, parking on campus is difficult and time consuming! Apologies in advance. Our area of the quad, in particular, is affected where driving and parking are concerned. We highly suggest walking or using public transportation (the Marguerite is the free campus shuttle), carpools, cab, Uber / Lyft.

If you must drive, the closest paid parking is the Roble garage, located at Stanford University, 287 Santa Teresa St, Stanford, CA 94305. Please see the map on the right sidebar of this page.

Q: Can I squeeze in a conference call during the program? 

A: You will experience full, busy days while you are here with us! We have found that it's best not to schedule conference calls or plan to conduct business during the program.

Q: What’s the weather generally like?

A: Be sure to check the weather before departing and plan your wardrobe accordingly. Much of our program is indoors, but we will be spending time in the field as well, which means a lot of walking and temperature changes. Please wear comfortable shoes and layered clothing.

Q: What does the post-program include?

A: During the post-program you’ll receive your coach’s support on your own design project. The purpose of this is to help you immediately use what you learned, and begin an on-going transformation of how you work.

Q: How can I connect with other Bootcampers?

A: After the program concludes we'll invite you to join our alum group on LinkedIn where you can connect with your fellow alums, along with our coaches and teaching team, get support, have discussions and much more. You can also join our d.school Executive Bootcamp group on Facebook.

Pre-work:
Set aside 1 day the month leading up to Bootcamp (Pre-work and Innovation @ Work login will be emailed about a month prior to the program)

Program at Stanford:
Tuesday, July 11 5pm - 8:00pm PST
Wednesday, July 12 8:30am - 9:00pm PST
Thursday, July 13 8:30am - 7:45pm PST
Friday, July 14 8:30am - 7:30pm PST

Post-program:
Monday, July 17 8am-12pm
Tuesday, July 18 8am-12pm (team call 9am-10am PST)
Wednesday, July 19 8am-12pm (team call 9am-10am PST)

PAY YOUR TUITION

Payment for the program is due upon receipt of the invoice, which was attached to your acceptance email. We cannot guarantee your space in the program until we receive your tuition payment. Your tuition covers program materials and breakfast/lunch/light dinner and hearty snacks.

BOOK YOUR STAY

Our program is NON RESIDENTIAL, which means that we allow our participants to choose where they would like to stay. We recommend booking at the Sheraton (there are also a small amount of rooms blocked at the nearby Westin, which is a bit more pricy), where there will be a block of rooms reserved for d.bootcampers (subject to availability). The Sheraton is about a 30 min walk to the d.school.

3. A rested body and mind

This should NOT include:

1. Anything heavy or burdensome (laptops, chargers, etc). We will provide everything you need.
2. Excess, large bags or luggage
